SM Malls in Marilao, San Jose Del Monte, Pulilan, and Baliwag joined the COMELEC’s synchronized registration to speed up application and accommodate more voter applicants days before the September 30 registration deadline.
The opening of satellite COMELEC Voter Registration centers at the SM Supermalls will not only provide voters with more registration venues but will also give the public a safer, more convenient option amidst the prevailing COVID health crisis.
To ensure health protocols are observed in satellite registration sites, COMELEC will cater to at least 200 voter applicants a day in SM City Marilao and SM Center Pulilan and 150 applicants a day for SM Malls in Baliwag and San Jose Del Monte.
The Commission on Elections is encouraging all qualified voters to register and participate in the upcoming 2022 National and Local Elections. Registration is open to new voters, transfer applications from outside or within the city or town, reactivation, correction of entry by virtue of marriage, or misspelled name. Registrants may also download and accomplish the application forms and health declaration card from the COMELEC website to affix their signatures and have their biometrics captured when they go to the registration venue.
SM Supermalls has 76 satellite COMELEC Voter Registration centers nationwide and will run until September 30. Through the inked partnership with the Commission on Elections, SM Supermalls is providing free space and waived charges to essential conveniences so they can efficiently operate the registration centers.
