Before we even say ‘Hi’ to the fast approaching ‘Ber Months’, SM City San Jose del Monte celebrates everything tech and innovation this month of August together with some activities and events that would give mall goers reasons to have more fun while shopping.
The following are some ways to spice up your mall experience with your family and friends at SM:
Cyber Month Celebration
There is no place like Cyberzone when it comes to gadget treats as it offers ‘Great Gadgets Deals’ with special bargains on selected items that are up to 50% off in participating stores for the whole month of August. PC Express also had a ‘Gizmo Con’ at the mall atrium last August 01 to 06.
Cosplayers will show off their talents, creativity, and amazing costumes in a ‘Cosplay Craze’ on August 17. Cosplay has become a regular promotional event for SM Cyberzone at SM City San Jose del Monte. Different characters from mobile gaming, movies, anime and cartoons will be brought to life that cosplay enthusiasts, mall goers, as well as the contestants themselves will surely enjoy.
Mobile Legends will never be forgotten in this year’s celebration of Cyber month. Organized by the local government, City Youth in San Jose del Monte will show off their enthusiasm and expertise in Mobile Legend game through a tournament on August 13 at the mall atrium.
Celebration of Homegrown Talents
Aside from celebrating everything tech, SM also recognize the talents and competitiveness of San Joseño youth as well as the culture of the city.
SM City San Jose del Monte will have a celebration of ‘Art for Everyone’, a selling exhibit of art crafts that serves as a fun venue for artists to showcase and sell their artworks and masterpieces starting from August 19 to 21. SM taps art organizations from the city to be part of the fair, and invites everyone to discover art and get in touch with their artistic side and creativity.
In addition, series of recitals from SJDM performing groups will also take place. Spearheaded by the City Tourism, the very first ‘Sining Tanglawan’ will have a city wide workshop and grand recital for visual arts, folk dance, contemporary dance, and choreography clinic on August 11 at the mall atrium, while rondalla, singing and choral recitals will take place on August 16 (tentative date) at SM Cinema San Jose.
Moreover, City Youth Katropa Dance Showdown and City Youth Spoken Words Poetry will also take place at the mall atrium on August 14 and 15.
Great Movies and Entertainment
Blockbuster hits like ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’, ‘Indak’, and ‘Fast and the Furious’ are still showing at SM Cinemas. Watch out for the movies for kids like ‘Maleficent’ and ‘Frozen 2’ as SM Cinema brings back the ‘Kids Watch For Free’ wherein children 4 feet and below can watch movies for free for every purchase of regular movie ticket. The promo will run until December.
Lastly, ‘FireFallDown’, a punk rock Filipino band which had its UK roots and relocated to Manila, will have its mall show at SM City San Jose del Monte’s mall atrium on August 18 to promote their latest single “Forever Never The Same” to San Joseños.
