Review of ATC Strike Coil Mosquito Repellent

          There is nothing more irritating than waking up in the middle of the night due to a sound of a Mosquito buzzing close to your ear. The good-old solution is a Mosquito net or Banig but for the rest of us, we use Mosquito coils. Take note: burning one mosquito coil is as dangerous as burning 75 to 137 cigarettes because of harmful chemicals like formaldehyde, octachlorodipropyl ether and bischloromethyl ether.

We have a choice. I opted to try ATC Strike Coil Mosquito Repellent to prove if it is effective, safe to use, and if it has non-irritating smell. The active ingredient as stated in the box is Es-Biothrin. I Googled it and World Health Organization's information (WHO) came up. "Esbiothrin was evaluated by the WHO/IPCS (IPCS, 1989), with the following conclusions. 

General population: under recommended conditions of use, the exposure of the general population to allethrins is negligible and is unlikely to present a hazard. 

Occupational exposure: with reasonable work practices, hygiene measures, and safety precautions, the use of allethrins is unlikely to present a hazard to those occupationally exposed to them. 

Environment: under recommended conditions of use and application rates, it is unlikely that allethrins or their degradation products will attain significant levels in the environment. In spite of the high toxicity of these compounds to fish and honey bees, they are only likely to cause a problem in the case of spillage or misuse."

On the days that mosquitoes abound in our home, I used ATC Strike Coil Mosquito Repellent. True to their word, the insects that are universally hated the world over are nowhere in sight (and feel hehe). No unwanted fumes too and it actually smells good. All I had on those days were a good night's sleep. 

ATC Strike Coil Mosquito Repellent helped  me get rid of mosquitoes without harming the environment, people, pets, plants and even furniture. It is effective and very much affordable.
